Three Weimar Shooting certificates/ targets
This fascinating set of three shooting prize certificates to one man also form the target he was shooting at, as demonstrated by the .22 size whole in each one!
One is dated December 1894, the other two are for consecutive days in November 1897, and indicate that the distances shot at were 150 and 200 metres. Centred in the target is the regiment to which the shooter belonged, his name, and the signature of his commanding officer, the whole surrounded by overlapping laurel and oak leaves in green. This information is repeated in pencil on the reverse of the award. A fascinating piece of German shooting history.
