Minesweepers, Sub-Chasers and Escort Vessels War Badge.

This reproduction of the first class badge is entirely gilded but has good definition to wreath, eagle and water spout. Vertical pin and catch operate correctly.
First award of this badge took place on 28th November 1940 following institution on the 31st August that year. Criteria for award included completing three sorties, to have been wounded,sunken ship,exemplary conduct, mission in a mined area or completing an escort duty of more than 25 days.
A worthy filler piece.
