Leather Sword Hanger Possibly European ww2

A most unusual hanger presumably for a dagger consisting of a pair of leather straps joined by a third strap forming an "H" configuration having one leg longer than the other.
Quality leather construction with brown stitching which is all complete. Pebbled buckle to the adjustable length leg, with matching pebbled spring clips.
