German WW1 Knife-Bayonet
An exceptional knife from the prolific maker E& F Horster of Solingen, and marked as such to the reverse Ricasso. Operating spring catch and barrel slot. Perfectly cut chequered wooden grip plates held by two domed rivets. Pommel and cross guard somewhat dull with age but in excellent undamaged condition. Bright, needle sharp blade with no damage to cutting edge. Most original finish to undented scabbard. Webbing belt loop slightly frayed but perfectly functional and held by two rivets.
A fine example of this type of fighting knife which was still prominent during WW2
