German WW1 Trench Knife- Carl Friedrich Ern.

An honest example of a rare maker marked trench knife, manufactured around 1915 by the the firm of CF Ern, who first established a blade firm in Solingen Wald in 1873.
Excellent wood grips fixed by three rivets through the flattened tang, cross guard retaining most of its original black finish. Maker marked blade razor sharp with needle sharp tip, a little rusty but would clean up greatly as to the taste of the next owner. Most original finish to undented scabbard, which has leather belt loop and grip strap still riveted soundly to upper area. Leather work a little dry and would benefit from "feeding" .
A rare opportunity to obtain an original maker marked knife.
