German WW1 Trench knife-C.F. Ern

A good example of a rare maker marked trench knife, manufactured around 1915 by the the firm of CF Ern, who first established a blade firm in Solingen Wald in 1873.
Excellent wood grips fixed by three rivets through the flattened tang, small chip adjacent to crossguard. Razor sharp blade with needle sharp tip is marked "ERN Wald Rheinl." along with a miniature makers logo of a crown over a sword, the opposite Ricasso marked "Rasierer Fabric" or Razor factory. No crossguard present.
Evidence of hardened grease which has protected the blade over the years but would clean up greatly as to the taste of the next owner. Some evidence of sharpening. Anodised finish to undented scabbard, which has leather belt loop still riveted soundly to upper area. Leather work a little dry and would benefit from "feeding" .
A rare opportunity to obtain an original maker marked knife.
