A single board for a junior sergeant in the Freiwilliger Arbeitsdienst-FAD . This was a programme introduced in 1931 whereby young unemployed persons could meet in a labour camp for minimal reward as a forerunner to the RAD.

Ärmelabzeichen for EM/NCO ranks, introduced in 1942, this was a specific, commemorative insignia for former TeNo personnel serving with the armed forces technical troops. Machine woven in silver grey thread. ( Officers insignia were woven in silver/aluminium threads).

1933 Armscheibe patch authorised to be worn until 1937 after which only the TeNo eagle triangle patch was to be worn on the sleeve. Manufactured by Bevo Barmen (who became BEVO) and with the patent mark “Ges.Gesch.”

Excellent example of a machine woven cuff band for wear on the fatigue and work tunic. The inscription “Technische Nothilfe” is in silver grey Fraktur script on a black rayon blend background with silver grey piping along the top and bottom. Some minor fraying to the top and bottom edges and to the short ends.

The colour of this armband is almost khaki, weather by design to match the colour of the work uniform, or due to age, is hard to define, however it is in fine condition having a machine woven insignia and the makers initials “H & F” along with the patent marking “Ges.Gesch.” sewn to the rear.  read more
