"Stag" Gripped Parade Bayonet

This interesting bayonet appears to have imitation, probably wooden, grip plates, secured by rivets, one of which is very slightly loose. Pommel backstrap and crossguard retain most of their finish, pommel showing some signs of use a hammer. Blade washer remains beneath the crossguard protecting the short, plain, single fullered blade which retains most of its finish. There is no evidence of a maker mark to this blade. Black painted scabbard retains most of its finish and is undented. Scabbard lug is very slightly loose on the scabbard.
