Original SS Musicians Swallows Nest

A single "swallows nest " showing minor signs of wear but complete with an SS marked RZM tag to the rear. Black wool base with seven, alternating, evenly spaced, machine stitched, vertical waffle patterned, tress strips and an additional, slightly curved, horizontal, waffle patterned, tress strip to the bottom edge. The waffle patterned tress strips also have a vertical raised rib near each outer edge. The black wool bases show through as a narrow, vertical, stripe between each of the tress strips. Reverse is grubby light brown cloth with three hand stitched depictions of the number 158 in red. All securing clips are present. Gold or tarnished silver wire decoration to the lower edge.
An impossible item to find in this untouched, original condition.
