Third Reich Army Dagger -Unmarked

A very nice early example of the "slant gripped" army dagger which is not maker marked, but has many traits which are typical of WKC manufacture.
14 leaf pommel has only minor abrasions to the circumference and retains almost all of its artificial aging, as does the crossguard. The open winged eagle on the crossguard has fine detailing to its wing and breast feathering, whilst the scrolled crossguard ends are beautifully patinated and crisp. The undamaged Trolon grip is a beautiful shade of dark orange having the near 45 degree angle to the striations which make these daggers so good looking. Bright blade is near mint having a needle sharp point, no nicks to the cutting edges and only the faintest of age marking in the surfaces. A brown leather blade washer remains in place within the confines of the crossguard. Brass based scabbard has a matching patina without dents or damage, and has beautifully hand enhanced scabbard bands. Both screws are present in the upper ricasso area.
A fine example of a most desirable dagger variation.
