German ww2 Short Aluminium Police Bayonet-Puma

Late war bayonet by the less common manufacturer Puma of Solingen. Good detailing to the feathering and eye sockets of the birds head pommel which has minor signs of "hammer use" to the reverse. Upswept crossguard has detailed oak leaf embellishment to the obverse. Grip plates are in good condition and are secured by non aluminium rivets. A police insignia is correctly pinned to the obverse plate. Bright plated blade is in excellent condition having a needle point tip with no nicks or sharpening to the cutting edge. There is no blade washer however this could be easily replaced. The Puma makers mark is stamped heavily into the reverse ricasso. Wooden scabbard has a dark brown leather covering having twin line decorations to the obverse and a complete seam to the reverse. Plated fittings are stapled to the scabbard, an assembly number is stamped beneath the staples. Minor loss of finish to both upper and lower fittings.
