B.U.F. COLLECTION-Belt Buckle

An original period brass belt buckle, worn by members of Oswald Mosleys British Union of Fascists during the '30s, in the best of condition. Traditional brass buckle has been period modified by the addition of the BUF emblem consisting of an eagle with outspread wings atop a skull, having an oak leaf surround, with the words "England Awake" beneath.
The rear of the buckle shows the attaching pins soldered in place, and the leather clasp stamped with the makers logo and the numbers "12 124 8755 100 75 0089A"
A remarkable survivor from perhaps the darkest days in England's political past.
