Third Reich SA Dagger-Ground Röhm Aesculap
This early example comes from one of the few makers of SA daggers not based in Solingen, and is a recognised supplier of Röhm presentation pieces. It has excellent crossguards having deep accent grooves with one minor age spot on the reverse of the lower guard adjacent to the "Sw" gau mark. Grip is damage free having correctly inset SA rune and political style eagle. Bright blade retains much crossgraining to the obverse, whilst the reverse has been expertly ground to remove the offending Röhm dedication, leaving only a small part of the "Aesculap Tuttlingen" makers logo. Anodised scabbard retains the majority of its finish with only minor age signs throughout. Scabbard fittings retain all fixing screws which appear unturned. Lower ball is slightly misshapen.
Excellent historic example of an early dagger having remnants of the "Röhm Purge"
