Third Reich U-Boat Goggles

(Schutzbrille). A pair of Auer Neophan goggles, primarily utilized by U-Boat and motorcycle personnel, constructed of a malleable green/black rubber frame with shatter-proof plastic eyepieces. The goggles retain a khaki cotton strap with metal buckles for secure attachment. The obverse bears are raised maker’s mark of “AUER, NEOPHAN”, while the interior has a raised number “141" They measure 130 mm (w) x 75 mm (h). Minor wear to the strapping but rubber and lenses in near perfect condition. Owners initials to the strap reverse.
