Third Reich Dress Bayonet-Eickhorn

This late war produced bayonet is a product of the Eickhorn factory and still demonstrates the quality associated with this producer.
Hilt, backstrap and pommel, (with operating push button), show minor age freckling but no loss of finish. Imitation wooden grips are securely riveted in place. Bright blade is in fine condition, having only mild signs of attempted sharpening which are only visible when the blade is turned in the light. The post ‘41 “over the shoulder” Eickhorn squirrel trademark is solidly stamped into the upper reverse ricasso. Black painted scabbard retains most of its finish having no dents or damage.
Nice example of a late war bayonet.
