Third Reich SS Dress Bayonet-Alcoso

Short dress bayonet having SS Kulturzeichen stamped to the upper obverse ricasso.
Pommel, backstrap and crossguard retain most of the plating with only minor loss to the tip of the quillion. Chequered, black grips secured by domed rivets in perfect condition. Pommel has an operating push button. Bright, plated blade retains a sharp tip and has no damage. The Alcoso “scales” trademark is stamped to the reverse ricasso, and a white leather blade washer remains beneath the crossguard. Black leather frog is in good condition but has a period repair in the area of the lug hole. Wrapped about the frog is portepee having leather strap with triple lines of silver bullion stitching and a black/silver slide. Crochet style stem, black/silver crown and silver, oval acorn. Base of the acorn has black, springy wire infil.
