Third Reich Long Dress Bayonet-Alcoso

This is an unusual piece being marked on the reverse crossguard as being property of the R.F.V. , or Reichsfinanzministerium, the ministry of finance for the German empire between 1919 and 1945. Excellent finish to pommel, backstrap and crossguard and with an operating mortise button. Blade in fine condition with minor age marks but no damage to the edge and with a sharp tip. The large Alcoso “ACS” and scales logo adorns the reverse ricasso. Leathe blade washer remains beneath the crossguard. Unusual anodised scabbard has a very minor dent to the reverse and a correctly positioned throat screw to the obverse.
