Third Reich Dress Bayonet-Klaas

Unusual bayonet being the so called “Pioneer” variation having no finger guard to the crossguard. Minor age staining to the crossguard, backstrap and pommel, which has an operating mortice button. Black chequered grips are correctly attached by rivets which are domed to the obverse. Bright blade with minor age staining to the false edge and no damage or nicks, complete with black leather washer beneath the crossguard . The “kissing cranes” Robert Klaas logo is stamped to the reverse ricasso. Black painted scabbard is near perfect having age spidering beneath the surface. Black leather frog is a superb example having a single, centrally placed rivet to the rear. A super set in need of a knot to finish it off.
