Nice to find a quality Eickhorn dagger with a distributor mark on the blade, in this instance “H Mutz Lingen”
12 leaf pommel having no hits to the periphery and still with all its artificial darkening in the background. Orange grip in fine condition, ferrule and crossguard eagle having much detail and hand enhancement and again with all artificial darkening remaining in the background. Some very minor bubbling to the reverse plating. A period portepee is in the correct tie about the grip and crossguard. Blade washer remains with the recess of the crossguard. Beautiful bright blade has a needle like tip with no damage to the edges. All crossgrain remains visible, some minor age spots in the surface. Eickhorn 35-41 trademark to the reverse ricasso, distributor mark to the obverse. Typical thick throat to the scabbard retained by a single screw to the reverse. Fine stippling to the panels. Scabbard bands are tightly attached.
