Superb early example produced soon after the transition from the “Long DLV” model. All the quality to be expected from the premier maker of edged weapons.
All nickel fittings have a fine age patina which it would be a shame to remove. Brass sun wheel swasticas are perfectly inserted to pommel and crossguard and still have silvering between the legs. Blue, Moroccan leather wound grip has all its wire decoration present with no damage to the leather. Crossguard heavily patinated with a thin leather washer to the underside, and with a period portepee in the correct tie. Plated blade grades mint having no damage and with the Eickhorn 35-41 trademark to the reverse ricasso. Scabbard leather in fine condition, fittings heavily patinated, undamaged, and with all screws present. Suspension chain has no damage and is the normal “9/13” configuration. Early spring clip is unmarked. Belt loop has what appears to be squadron allocation markings embossed.
