Third Reich DLV Flyers Dagger-Eickhorn

This M1934 dagger is of the highest quality and in absolutely choice condition.
Two stage pommel with no damage whatsoever and with all the artificial aging complete in the recesses. Blue Moroccan leather covered grip has no loss of finish and has a perfect side seam. Crossguard has the “K” casters mark to the end of the left quillion, and perfect, black enamelled mobile swasticas inset to the centre of obverse and reverse. Beneath the crossguard is a thin, blue leather washer protecting the blade. No damage to tip or edges of the blade, and with just a few signs of aging beneath the surface. The Eickhorn pre ‘35 maker mark of squirrel above “CE” in a double oval is prominently stamped to the upper reverse ricasso. Beautifully toned scabbard fittings have all screws present, the lower having no damage to the ball, the upper having the DLV “winged swastica” emblem stamped into the upper throat face. Attached to the scabbard ring is a leather hanger with oval metal joining piece and an early, unmarked spring clip. Leather is completely sound, with only minor loss of surface finish. Completing the rig is the correct belt loop with aluminium “D” ring and maker marked and dated brown leather.
