Third Reich SS M33 Dagger

Probably the most desirable of all the Third Reich collectibles, this M33 man’s dagger is of later manufacture, and as such, fittings are of a zinc alloy mix with a plated nickel finish. This finish is virtually complete with minor loss on the lower guard adjacent to the grip on both obverse and reverse. Tang nut is undamaged. Runes button is correctly inset as is the “high necked” grip eagle, which has lost its finish. Black grip has a few minor scratches but no cracks or chips. Bright blade has no nicks or other damage and retains much crossgrain. The “Meine Ehre Heißt Treue” motto is deeply etched with all its grey background remaining. The reverse ricasso has the SS runes, “RZM” in a double circle and the code “120/34” -so far an unidentified manufacturers code.
Scabbard has nickel plated steel fittings, both upper and lower being in fine condition and with no dents to the lower ball. The black scabbard finish is complete across the surfaces with “spidering” confirming that this scabbard has never been repainted.
A fine collectible example the value of which will increase when the manufacturers code has been identified.
