Third Reich ceramic Olympic Bell
An attractive white porcelain bell made by the Koenigliche Porzellanmanufaktur (KPM) in Berlin as a commemorative piece for the famous 1936 Olympic Games held there.
The bell is an official replica of the huge bronze bell in the Berlin Bell Tower and is decorated with 3rd Reich era emblems. One side depicts the German eagle clutching the five Olympic Rings while the other has the Brandenburg Gate. Written is “1-16 August 1936″ and “11.Olympische Spiele Berlin” and the Motto “Ich rude die Jugend der weld” – “I call the youth of the world”.
The bell comes with its wooden base and the condition is excellent with no chips or cracks present, and with the green maker mark for the maker Koenigliche Porzellanmanufaktur Berlin inside the bell itself
