Third Reich Single Etch Dress Bayonet-Eickhorn

Officers short dress bayonet having a beautiful “service time” etch, and beautifully formed initials to the obverse ricasso. These initials appear to be “E C” in a beautifully executed gothic or suterlin script. Blade grades mint having the Eickhorn 35-41 trademark to the reverse ricasso and a brown leather blade washer beneath the crossguard. Pommel, backstrap and crossguard retain their plating having few signs of age. Pommel push button operates correctly and a green felt plug remains within the rifle slot. Scabbard has a few minor chips to the finish but remains straight and undented. Brown frog is in excellent condition having minor loss of surface finish to the rear. An all green portepee is wrapped about the waist of the frog in the correct tie. Fine example of the short etched dress bayonet.
