Super piece personalised to a member of the Flak Battalion 74-namely “Julius Preiss” . This work was clearly accomplished by an engraver of some skill on both obverse and reverse blades, it is beautiful workmanship. Obverse pommel is similarly engraved with an image of an 8.8 cm Flak gun.
Excellent plating to pommel and crossguard with no evidence on the backstrap of misuse. Operating push button with red felt plug in the rifle slot. Blade grades mint and has a brown leather blade washer. Black patent leather frog is in excellent condition with the usual signs of age to the reverse. Portepee is wrapped about the waist of the frog in the correct tie.
