Third Reich Studetenbund Buckle and Belt.

A rare, used 2nd pattern Studetenbund buckle attached to a black political belt.
John Angolia describes this style buckle in his 2001 reference “Belt Buckles and Brocades of the Third Reich”:-
“The only known specimens are molded aluminium bearing the RZM (double circle) M3/38 manufacturers code (Richard Sieper & Söhne)” “The buckle depicts the eagle emblem clutching the Studetenbund diamond, and surrounded by a rectangular oak leaves wreath. This same pattern buckle is also attributed to N.P.E.A. Leaders.” This reference also includes a period photo of the buckle in wear.
This specimen offered here confirms precisely to this specification, and is coupled with a used black political belt in excellent condition.
