Eickhorn Daggers continue to lead the desirability stakes in the collecting community, and this example with an “Orange juice” grip will be sure to satisfy. Minor discolouration to the upper pommel which has a little of the copper “flash coating” visible. Grip is perfect having that translucency we all love to see on these so called orange juice types. Ferrule and crossguard are perfect, the eagle having much extra detailing to the wing and breast feathers. Wreathed swastica shows no wear and is raised prominently from the background. A brown leather washer is in place beneath the crossguard. Bright blade has a sharp tip and undamaged edges with a very little cloudiness throughout its length which could be removed with judicious cleaning. The Eickhorn 35-41 maker mark is darkly etched to the upper reverse ricasso. Scabbard in fine condition having no loss of finish and excellent pebbled panels. Bands and rings are securely attached. A single throat screw is present in the upper scabbard side.
