Third Reich Army Officers Dagger-Eickhorn+Distributor Marked

Another fabulous dagger from the premiere maker in Solingen. From the 39-45 timeframe this piece is not only “time warp” condition but has the benefit of a distributor mark to the obverse blade.
No damage to pommel which has very prominent oak leaf and acorn decoration and all the factory darkening to the background. Beautiful pumpkin coloured grip is undamaged and fits the distinctive ferrule perfectly. Crossguard eagle is a beautifully sculptured rendition which really “pops” from the guard, having hand enhancement to the breast and wing feathers and with all the factory darkening remaining. A leather washer sits beneath the crossguard. Bright blade has all the crossgrain to both obverse and reverse with undamaged edges and a needle like tip. The Eickhorn 35-41squirrel logo is prominent to the reverse ricasso, whilst the distributor details “A.Kuhl Munster Essen” are stamped to the obverse. Scabbard has well defined pebbled panels, secure rings and no loss of finish. A single throat retaining screw is fitted to the upper reverse centre.
