Third Reich SA Marine Dagger-Gebrüder Grafrath Transitional

A very rare dagger having still having evidence of gilding on the lower crossguard, a copper grip eagle and rune button. Nickel silver crossguards have no damage, crisp and deep accent grooves and fit the grip perfectly. Scabbard throat still has gilded finish remaining to the upper edge.There is no gau mark on the lower quard. Grip has no damage, dents or pressure marks. Bright blade shows much crossgrain with some minor age staining to the lower reverse. SA motto is deep and crisp with light grey background finish. Reverse upper ricasso area has the “GEBR. GRAFRATH Solingen within a double eclipse logo, and the RZM code “M7/30”
Scabbard body has a fine black enamel paint finish with some minor spidering beneath the surface. Fittings retain their screws, the upper having some minor corrosion adjacent to the scabbard ring on the reverse, whilst the lower has a minor hit to the ball.
Excellent example of a rarely seen dagger.
