Third Reich SS Dagger Vertical Hanger

Another of the many “private purchase”, locally produced patterns of leather hanger manufactured to satisfy the needs of the SS or SA member who needed to support their weapon in the vertical position during field exercises etc. Black leather in good condition with some cracking to the adjustable horizontal grip strap. Upper area has been folded to enclose an unmarked spring clip. Lower area has a leather loop riveted horizontally to form a support for the scabbard.
Belt loop is formed from a single piece of leather folded and riveted to enclose a gilded and pebbled “D” ring having line decoration to the edges.
Rare accoutrement showing some sign of wear and age.
