Imperial Bayonet Issued to the R.F.V.-Hörster

This is an unusual piece being marked on the reverse crossguard as being property of the R.F.V. , or Reichsfinanzministerium, the ministry of finance for the German empire between 1919 and 1945.
Grip plates are fine, early chequered Bakelite secured by nuts and screws. Operating push button, blade marked to E & F Hörster on both obverse and reverse. Heavy sharpening to the blade edge. Blued scabbard in fine condition with minor loss of finish and rusting.
Hard to find weapons with R.F.V. markings.
