Interesting frog being considerably longer in the belt loop section than the norm. Of four rivet construction with supplementary stitching to the edges and to the shoe section. Leather in good condition with some minor cracking around the lug hole in the shoe.  read more

A black leather frog which would be perfect for a fire department bayonet. Patent leather shows the normal age crazing but remains flexible and with minor wear to the area around the lug hole. Single rivet to the reverse.  read more

Two rivet construction with faded white stitching which has only minor loss at the point where the shoe joins the backing. The Winterhilfswerk (WHW) was an annual drive by the Nationalsozialistische Volkswohlfahrt (the National Socialist People’s Welfare Organization) to help finance charitable work. A nice set of late war production straps having some interesting details. Upper box clip is unmarked and non magnetic. Straps have bullion fronts and are without velvet backings, and are held to the upper clip with leather tabs, folded and riveted in. A Familienbuch ( "Family-book") was a family register, a genealogical summary that was issued in Germany by the local civil registry upon marriage and contained data on birth, marriage and death of the couple as well as the birth data of any children stemming for this marriage.
