Third Reich Fire Bayonet Portepee

flat strap, interwoven slide, metal alloy based stem, crown and ball. The portepee is wood based and wrapped in twisted silver bullion and red rayon threads. Third Reich Leather Strap

A brown leather loop, some three feet in length having a waffenampt to the reverse. Lower loop encloses a riveted, push-in spring clip. Would have been used over the shoulder to retain a pistol, compass, binoculars or gravity knife. Rare accessory.  read more
