A late war frog constructed from layers of compressed paper, sewn and riveted together in an effort to supplement the swiftly dwindling stocks of leather. Third Reich "Over the Shoulder" Sword Hanger

Adjustable strap with perfect buckles sewn to a brown leather hanger. A mint nickel Spring clip is sewn and riveted in. All stitching complete. Hanger is backed with green leather, which may indicate some affiliation with the hunting or forestry organisations.  read more

This brown leather frog was removed from a Luftwaffe Forestry Service bayonet distributed by the Waffen Loesche concern. Constructed from a soft, malleable leather having stitched edges and a separately applied "shoe". Lug hole is used but not damaged.

Ten inches in length, having a magnetic box clip in the upper fold and adjustable via a moveable bobbin. Pebbled brown leather to the obverse, plain brown leather backing.
