Third Reich Wehrmacht Shooting Target/Prize

A large circular wooden picture of a wild boar and hunting dogs which has been used as a target for an officers small calibre shooting competition. Holes in the target have been marked with the names of the shooters. The winners name is painted beneath the picture and his winning shot circled. It is dated 15th July 1937. Presumably this item would have hung in an officers mess.  read more

Membership badge of the German hunting association. Tombac badge having a swastica in a sunburst between the antlers of a stag. Each side of the stags head are the initials of the organisation "D.J." The reverse is stamped "Ges. Gesh." Above a vertical securing pin.  read more

A well made accoutrement having a green leather backing, perhaps giving it a forestry or hunting connection? Quality brown leather facing having a fold in the upper section retaining a large magnetic "D" ring. A nickelled Spring clip is riveted and sewn to the lower area. All stitching intact.  read more

A super belt being quite a large size and in the sort of condition not often seen today.
Unmarked buckle has fantastic detail to the anchor and leaf design on the obverse, whilst the plain reverse has a correctly attached hook device. Imperial Miners Sword knot

The sword for members of the Bergbau is hard to acquire, but to obtain the correct Portepee is almost impossible. Here we have an early near mint example showing only wear commensurate with age. All gold strap, slide, stem crown and acorn.
This accoutrement would have been worn both before and throughout the Third Reich period.  read more

"Service Times" Labels

These rare labels were used on a number of wartime "souvenir" items such as flasks, walking sticks etc and sold to raise party funds. These five circular labels are approximately .75 inches in diameter having coloured depictions of field pieces, biplanes etc. surrounded by the "Zur Erinnerung An Meine Dienstzeit" service time remembrance.
