This beautifully made accoutrement appears to be Austrian or Bavarian, and may have some link with the postal service, the filling to the lower ball being an orange silk material. Acorn material is a twisted springy wire as is the crown, whilst the strap is black with twin gold lines along each edge.

An excellent frog which has become somewhat stiff with age but would no doubt respond to a leather treatment such as Flexolan. Third Reich SA Short Dagger Hanger and Belt Loop

Unusual triangular brown leather belt loop which has a magnetic "D" ring both sewn and riveted into the lower loop. Leather on the hanger perfectly matches the loop, and is in good condition showing a little wear in the loop which sits inside the scabbard connector. Small leather retaining loop is present. Four rivet construction with twin lines of stitching. Excellent quality leather which remains bright and pliable. More signs of wear to the scabbard "pocket" which has some cracking to the surface finish and stretching of the scabbard lug hole. A good quality example.  read more

Patent black leather frog of single rivet construction having lines of stitching to the outer edges. In common with most frogs of this age and type the patent finish has suffered from storage problems and is cracked and faded in places.
