Third Reich SA Marine Belt Loop

This remarkable hanger is constructed of very dark brown leather which has a gilded and pebbled alluminium "D" ring riveted into the lower loop. The leather has feint decorative lines which run parallel to the outer edges, and is in sound, worn condition. The rivet is slightly rusty no doubt from use in a damp environment.

What is believed to be an American knot (if you know differently, please let us know!) consisting of a ten inch thin cord of alternating gold and black or very dark blue, gold and black (blue) stem and gold acorn and cap. Base is inset with black velvet.

A First War British National War Savings Committee lapel badge. Bronze gilt with red and black enamels, maker marked "THOMAS FATTORINI BIRMINGHAM Ltd" on the reverse, 29.2mm in diameter, and with an unreadable reg. number stamped into the lapel support.
