Another item uncovered at a French flea market, this 100ft tape bears a makers name and a date of 1918 as well as the MOD crows foot. Leather bound and in excellent condition, there are some small tears to the linen tape only where the initial leather binding meets the linen. read more

WW1 R.F.C Thickness Gauge
Issued to Royal Flying Corps engineers, this rare tool was used to measure the thickness of sheet metals in workshops on the Western Front throughout the Great War. Marked with a 1915 date and the MOD crows foot on one side, and "Sheffield" to the other this is a rare survivor and worthy of inclusion in any collection. read more

Dated 1916, these binoculars are stamped with a "crows feet" mark to the front and with a French makers name to the rear. Central focus ring requires some attention but optics clear. Leather case is marked with a makers name being "Wolfsky & Co. London" and "Case No3 Prismatic Binoculars" . Neck strap on the binoculars in fine condition, strap to the case snapped. read more
