Third Reich NPEA Chained Dagger Scabbard-Spares
An excellent example of this dagger type scabbard, having all the traits of a wartime produced Burgsmüller scabbard and chains, but painted black in the style of the Chained NSKK dagger. This finish has the signs of wear as to be expected from a carried dagger during the period, however we have no explanation for the colour variation—Napola leader re-assigned to the NSKK???

An interesting scabbard and blade combination which fit perfectly together but are sold without provenance and are probably post war. Blade has the correct Burgsmüller trademark and motto but no forgers mark to the threaded tang. Also to the rear is the raised inscription "Registration Applied For" being the equivalent of the German stamping "Ges Gesh."
