German WW2 Rare Distributor marked Long Firemans Dress Bayonet
Third Reich era fireman's dress bayonet with the 25 cm blade, marked by a distributor or retail seller of equipment being Karl Henkel, Bielefeld and stamped as such on the obverse Ricasso, with "Solingen" on the reverse. This company still exists & still sells fire department ephemera. Initial production examples such as this use the letter "K" in the mark, whilst later ones become "C" in the name spelling.
Most finish remaining to pommel, backstrap and recurve crosguard, undamaged chequered grip plates retained by domed headed rivets. Good bright blade with no damage to the cutting edge. Much original paint finish to scabbard with only paint spidering testifying to age.
A nice example by a difficult to find supplier.
