Pre ww2 German Shooting Medal
A particularly attractive medal in the form of a cross, forged in silver and marked to the rear with the "900" silver content mark with a moon and makers mark. Some two inches in diameter, having quality enamelling to the four arms of the cross with highly detailed acorn leaves between them. In the centre of the medal is a shield having a double headed bird and cross detailing, whilst the arms of the cross have lettering indicating that the award was given in the Neuss area of the Rhine district in 1929. Minor damage to the enamelling on the lower arm.
A high quality award in remarkable condition.
