Forestry Dagger Frog
Whilst trophy daggers were often “liberated” at the end of the war, the accompanying accoutrements were often discarded, making these items very hard to find. This is particularly true of the frogs and loops associated with the forestry and hunting services.
This example is very dark green leather, with dark green stitching, a little of which is missing, however this could be simply repaired. Guilded box clip. Of particular interest is the makers name and a date stamp to the obverse, however this is particularly hard to make out.
If you have a cutlass but not a frog, this rare item will fit the bill.
