Teardrop Sword Hanger

An exceptionally nice brown leather, fixed length sword hanger/belt loop which would be perfect for an early, minty army sword. Teardrop is a single piece of quality brown leather sewn at the top to enclose a magnetic "D" ring. Decorative stitching to both edges, fine nickel push in spring clip sewn and riveted to the upper area of the tear drop.

Sword Hanger

An early style brown leather hanger which is adjustable in length by the use of a movable dome headed boss. A spring clip is both riveted and sewn into place in the teardrop section of the hanger, whilst a perfect condition box clip is the top loop. Cavalry version of the black leather K98 frog having a grip retaining strap inserted horizontally to the upper area. Excellent overall condition, of four rivet construction with three perpendicular lines of stitching. No damage to the scabbard lug locating hole.  read more

Black Dress Frog

Three rivet construction with lines of stitching at the edges. Much patent finish remaining to the supple leather, having a horizontal split to the rear upper belt loop area, which has been pierced to allow the bayonet to be hung from a fixing. Black SS style Portepee

This beautifully made accoutrement appears to be Austrian or Bavarian, and may have some link with the postal service, the filling to the lower ball being an orange silk material. Acorn material is a twisted springy wire as is the crown, whilst the strap is black with twin gold lines along each edge.

An excellent frog which has become somewhat stiff with age but would no doubt respond to a leather treatment such as Flexolan.
