This original TENO dagger has the lowest issue number we have ever seen on these massive and magnificent pieces, being 0453, stamped into the upper scabbard throat and the obverse ricasso. Only the earliest pieces had stamped numbers, later produced examples were etched in these locations.

Third Reich Finnish Knife with SS Connections
A Finnish Kauhava Puukko, having an 8cm engraved steel blade, black leather? grip and detailed silver horse head pommel. The grip has a small silver “totenkopf” set into the reverse, and silver SS runes inset into the obverse. This maker is not commonly seen on police bayonets and represents an early conversion from the Weimar period sidearm. Eagles head pommel has fine overlapping feather decoration and "eye" and demonstrates the usually seen minor indentations to the spine area indicating use as an improvised hammer.
