These lightweight bayonets were identical to those worn by police units with the exception of the absence of an insignia on the grip. Eagle head pommel has nice details to the neck feathering with some loss of finish and signs of use as a hammer during the period. Both the first and second model subordinate daggers are equipped with black painted or lacquered grips which are subject to chipping and wear, the grip on this piece however is in excellent condition, having a correctly pinned insignia with the majority of the blue enamel remaining.
